Glock 19 Slide Spring - I wasn't really sold on adding a guide rod to the ranch, but after seeing my better half at the range with her Glock 17, I thought it was worth a shot. I ordered her a SS guide with a 17lb spring. My girlfriend loves the way the gun cycles and although the weight difference isn't as great as the tungsten guide, it did help with recoil and more comfortable sight placement. This is my first order with the metal needle extended control kit. Shipping was fast and they had great communication throughout the process.
Nice build, well made and almost there. First I had problems with spring compression. Using a little force, I was able to remove the support washer. I noticed some loctite on the bottom guide of the mounting screw. This grips the washer, preventing it from moving. I removed the rest and now it works fine. You may want to investigate this or warn customers. At first I thought it was broken.

Very happy that he got there without any problems. I noticed that it is not pictured for different spring weights and has a washer that is not pictured. After seeing this I thought I should weigh it with my digital scale because it weighs 25.6 grams so when I took the assembly to work and weighed it with a digital paint scale it weighed 28.3 not the advertised 25.6. After hundreds of rounds I am very happy with the part it works flawlessly in my gun. I highly recommend this upgrade.

Looks like a good fit, haven't shot it yet, only reason for 4 stars is because of previous comment, a red lock that goes into the frame was tight, rough surface had to be greased. Work on it for a little while before I felt a slight twinge. Now the manual seems to be working well, but I will test it tomorrow, if it works well, my review will change to 5 stars.
Moving to a 20lb recoil spring on the .40 S&W G22 eliminates high velocity slide hits to the frame and FTFs when the light is mounted on a Gen 3 rail. These problems are caused by the 17lb recoil spring, which is insufficient for the 9mm. G17. It also reduces the feeling of grinding. Adding weight and stiffness to the stainless steel guide is a nice bonus.
Very well made and seems to be made of quality materials. It is better than the OEM Glock recoil spring assembly and improved my custom G17 build.
I gained 17 pounds. "Competition Recoil Spring" for my Glock 17, Gen 4. It was cleaned and oiled and then installed in my gun with no problems. Gen 4 requires an "adapter ring". When starting the slider assembly by hand, it looked and felt like a rub to me and heard a slight grinding/rubbing. I then checked the slide, lower frame housing and barrel and found no problems. The spring was rubbing against the guide.

I have fired over 100 rounds (medium powder charge). It worked flawlessly. Case ejections are good, circular climbs are excellent, and recoil seems to be a little off.
My controlled pairs from the case were correct. I was also able to quickly acquire targets and deliver accurate shots (15 yards) while doing tactical speed drills.
18lb Gen 3 G19 Competition Stainless Steel Guide... Not only did it ship a day early, but it's a must-have for any Glock pistol. I can feel the difference/improvement in the overall balance of my 19 in my hands. I can't wait to go through it.
